David was born in Charleston, West Virginia and relocated to Uniontown in 1973. His specialty is on the wholesale side of the business having owned, S. Levinson, a wholesale jewelry business located in the historic Clark Building in Downtown, Pittsburgh.
David was always active with Joyce’s on the backend of the business, but started full time in the store in 1996. He was always at the forefront of manufacturing, traveling overseas searching for the best product at the best prices. With David’s passion for diamonds, David formed a new partnership in 1999 to start manufacturing diamond jewelry.
David’s passion has now transferred from diamonds to two other gems, Sara Kate and James, his two grandchildren.
What is your favorite piece of jewelry and why?
Diamonds, because they are natural and last forever; no two diamonds are alike… just like a fingerprint!
What is your favorite food?
King Crab Legs…yum!
If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to travel to Israel. I have never been there and have always had the desire to go.
If you could have dinner with any person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would have dinner with my late father. We were very close, and he was very knowledgeable. Dinner with him would be a treat.
If you had the opportunity to purchase one piece of jewelry at Joyce’s Jewelry, what piece would you choose and why?
I would purchase our largest and highest quality diamond! I truly enjoy looking at diamonds and they hold their value (…maybe I will get lucky and it will increase in value!)
